Anker’s New Sleep Earbuds Can Fight Snoring and Track Your Night While You Sleep
What if your earbuds could do more than play music? Anker is taking that idea into the bedroom with its new Soundcore Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro, a pair of sleep-focused earbuds designed to reduce nighttime noise, detect snoring and monitor key sleep-related data throughout the night.

Unveiled as part of Soundcore’s latest sleep-focused lineup, the Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro combine adaptive snore masking, active noise cancellation and in-ear health sensors in a device designed specifically for overnight use.
They Don’t Just Block Snoring — They React to It
The most interesting feature is Anker’s Adaptive Snore Masking technology.
Instead of relying entirely on traditional active noise cancellation, the system uses the charging case to detect snoring and analyze characteristics such as its volume and frequency. The earbuds can then respond with specially generated masking audio designed to make those interruptions less noticeable.
That distinction matters because Anker says snoring is handled through masking audio rather than ANC alone. The combination is intended to make sudden changes in a partner’s snoring less disruptive throughout the night.
The Earbuds Can Monitor Your Sleep
The Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro take things considerably further than simply playing relaxing sounds.
Built-in in-ear PPG sensors are used to track metrics including heart rate, heart-rate variability (HRV), sleep stages and nighttime behaviors. The collected information can then be turned into a morning sleep report with personalized insights.
This makes the Pro model more like a sleep-monitoring system built into a pair of earbuds rather than conventional wireless earphones.
However, Anker makes an important distinction: these features are designed for consumer sleep tracking and aren’t intended to replace medical devices or provide medical diagnoses.
Audio That Changes With You
Another unusual addition is BioSync, an experimental feature that uses the earbuds’ physiological sensing capabilities to adjust relaxing audio based on the user’s state.
According to Soundcore, BioSync can dynamically modify elements such as tempo, soundscape characteristics and binaural beats rather than simply playing one static sleep track throughout the night.
The idea is straightforward: instead of forcing you to adapt to the audio, the audio adapts to you.
Anker also clearly labels BioSync as an experimental feature, meaning its behavior and availability could change through future updates.
You Can Leave Your Phone Alone
Perhaps one of the smartest parts of the Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro is the new SleepHub touchscreen charging case.
The case features an AMOLED touchscreen and dedicated hardware that allows users to manage sleep-related functions without reaching for their smartphone. Users can control audio, alarms, check information and access their morning report directly through the case.
The earbuds can also use locally stored audio, allowing certain sleep routines to operate without a phone or internet connection.
For a product specifically designed to help people disconnect before bed, eliminating the need to pick up a bright smartphone screen is a surprisingly important detail.
Built for Side Sleepers
Comfort is another major part of Anker’s pitch.
The Sleep Earbuds 4 series uses a layered ergonomic design intended to reduce pressure points when users sleep on their sides. The earbuds are also designed to sit more comfortably against a pillow than conventional wireless earbuds.
The Pro model weighs around 3 grams per earbud, according to Soundcore, and offers up to 10 hours of continuous playback with ANC and Bluetooth enabled.
That should be enough for most people to wear them throughout an entire night’s sleep without needing to recharge midway through.
Sleep Earbuds 4 vs. Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro
Anker is actually launching two versions of its new sleep earbuds.
The standard Sleep Earbuds 4 focuses primarily on noise reduction, snore masking, comfort and awareness of important sounds. It can use AI to recognize selected sounds such as a baby’s cry or a fire alarm and react accordingly.
The 4 Pro, meanwhile, is aimed at users who want significantly more data and control. Its headline additions include in-ear sleep monitoring, personalized reports, the SleepHub touchscreen case and experimental BioSync adaptive audio.
In other words, the standard model is primarily about sleeping more peacefully, while the Pro is designed to help users understand their sleep as well.
A New Category for Wireless Earbuds?
The Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro are part of a broader shift in what companies expect earbuds to do.
Wireless earbuds have already moved beyond basic music playback into areas such as fitness tracking, translation, hearing assistance and AI-powered features. Anker is now pushing that concept toward one of the most personal parts of everyday life: sleep.
The combination of noise management, physiological sensing, adaptive audio and a phone-free control system makes the Sleep Earbuds 4 Pro an unusually ambitious product.
Whether all of these features genuinely translate into better nights remains something users will have to determine in real-world use. But one thing is already clear: Anker doesn’t want its latest earbuds to simply sit in your ears while you sleep — it wants them to actively respond to what is happening around and within you.
And that could make the humble pair of sleep earbuds one of the more interesting pieces of technology to arrive in the bedroom.
