WWE RAW delivered an action-packed September 7 episode from Alabama, picking up the pieces after the events of Sunday Night’s Main Event while setting the stage for several major developments ahead. The biggest talking point of the night was the long-awaited return of a top WWE Superstar whose future with the company had been the subject of intense speculation, instantly giving the show an added sense of excitement. Meanwhile, the road to Money in the Bank officially got underway as qualifying matches began, with Superstars fighting for their opportunity to earn a coveted spot in the ladder matches. The episode also featured several storyline developments and heated confrontations before closing with a marquee Women’s Championship battle between Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer, giving the Alabama crowd a memorable main event and leaving plenty of momentum heading into next week’s RAW.
Opening Segment
WWE RAW opened with The Vision making their way to the ring, with the faction taking the opportunity to celebrate Bronson Reed’s return. Bron Breakker declared that the group was now complete and ready to dominate the WWE landscape, while the members also mocked Oba Femi following the brutal attack they delivered to him at Sunday Night’s Main Event. As they discussed their plans and confidently looked ahead, Austin Theory’s comments were interrupted by the arrival of Akira Tozawa. Otis soon followed, turning the tense confrontation into an impromptu match between the two sides. What began as a celebration for The Vision quickly transformed into another chaotic opening segment, setting an aggressive tone for the rest of the night.
Otis vs Austin Theory
The opening contest of WWE RAW quickly turned into a chaotic affair as Akira Tozawa and Otis battled in a competitive back-and-forth encounter. Just as the match began to pick up momentum, Bronson Reed interfered and attacked Otis, forcing the referee to call for the disqualification. The Vision then continued the assault, taking Otis out of the equation before turning their attention toward Tozawa. However, their attack was interrupted when Oba Femi rushed to the ring and attempted to even the odds.
Unfortunately for Femi, The Vision quickly overwhelmed him as well, leaving the powerhouse superstar at the mercy of the dominant faction. The post-match beatdown sent another clear warning that The Vision are determined to establish themselves as one of RAW’s most dangerous forces.
Men’s Money In The Bank Qualifier Match
Bron Breakker vs. Ethan Page vs. Rey Mysterio
The Men’s Money in the Bank qualifying match delivered plenty of high-impact action as Bron Breakker, Rey Mysterio and their fellow competitor battled for the opportunity to earn a spot in the coveted ladder match. All three Superstars brought their own style to the contest, producing a fast-paced and competitive encounter with momentum constantly shifting. The match reached its decisive moments when Breakker unleashed a double Frankensteiner on both of his opponents, showcasing his incredible power and athleticism. He then quickly turned his attention to Rey Mysterio, taking out the legendary luchador with a devastating Spear before securing the pinfall victory. With the win, Breakker punched his ticket to the Men’s Money in the Bank match and further established himself as a serious threat in the high-stakes competition.
Women’s Money In The Bank Qualifier Match
Lyra Valkyria vs. Sol Ruca vs. Maxxine Dupri
The Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match delivered a fast-paced and chaotic battle as Lyra Valkyria, Maxxine Dupri and Sol Ruca fought for the chance to secure their place in the prestigious ladder match. All three competitors kept the action moving with several momentum swings, but the finish took an unexpected turn when Valkyria connected with the Night Wing on Dupri and appeared to be closing in on victory. Just as the referee was about to count the pinfall, Bayley made her shocking return and deliberately pulled the official out of position, creating the distraction Valkyria never saw coming. Ruca immediately capitalized on the opening, striking Valkyria with the Sol Snatcher and scoring the decisive three-count. The victory officially sends Ruca into the Women’s Money in the Bank match, while Bayley’s surprise comeback adds another intriguing layer to the ongoing story.
Joe Hendry vs JD McDonagh
Joe Hendry picked up an important singles victory on WWE RAW after overcoming JD McDonagh in a competitive encounter. The match took another turn when Dominik Mysterio attempted to interfere and give McDonagh an advantage, but Je’Von Evans quickly stepped in to stop Mysterio from disrupting the contest. With the outside interference neutralized, Hendry seized the opportunity and delivered his devastating Sound Effect finisher to McDonagh, earning the three-count. The victory gave Hendry another strong showing on RAW, while Evans’ involvement ensured that Dominik and The Judgment Day could not influence the outcome.
Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer
The night concluded with a high-stakes WWE Women’s World Championship showdown as Liv Morgan defended her title against Stephanie Vaquer in a hard-fought main event. Both Superstars delivered an impressive performance, trading momentum throughout the contest and keeping the crowd invested as Vaquer pushed the champion to her limit. – Jackie Redmond’s backstage interaction with comedian Matt Matthews took an unexpected turn on WWE RAW when The Miz interrupted the conversation in his hometown of Birmingham. With The A-Lister celebrating 20 years of competing inside a WWE ring, he made it clear that he was unhappy about the company seemingly giving valuable television time to a celebrity guest instead of recognizing his own milestone. What began as a verbal confrontation quickly escalated when The Miz and his allies turned their attention toward Matthews, bullying the comedian before The Miz delivered a brutal Skull-Crushing Finale. The segment added another layer to Miz’s ongoing frustrations while also making it clear that he intends to remain at the center of attention as he celebrates two decades in WWE.
– Backstage on WWE RAW, LA Knight approached General Manager Adam Pearce with a clear demand, urging him to give Knight an opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. Knight made it clear that he believes he has earned his shot and is ready to step up against the reigning champion. Before leaving, The Megastar also turned his attention toward Solo Sikoa, warning him not to interfere in the affairs of Royce Keys and OTM. With Knight pushing for a championship opportunity and tensions continuing to rise around Sikoa, the segment added another layer of intrigue to RAW’s increasingly competitive title picture.
– A pre-recorded vignette featuring Joe Hendry brought another dose of humor to WWE RAW as the charismatic Superstar continued his ongoing rivalry with JD McDonagh. Hendry took aim at McDonagh with one of his trademark comedic insults, joking that McDonagh’s mother had apparently fallen in love with a giant Funko Pop. The bizarre but entertaining jab added a lighter touch to their developing feud while showcasing Hendry’s ability to get under his opponent’s skin without taking the usual route of a serious confrontation. With tensions already building between the two Superstars, Hendry’s latest taunt made it clear that their rivalry is becoming just as entertaining outside the ring as it is inside it.
– The tension between The Bloodline and 946 reached a dangerous level throughout WWE RAW, culminating in a shocking closing segment involving Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu. After being targeted by Royce Keys and OTM the previous week, the Uso brothers and The Samoan Werewolf finally made their way to the ring to confront their rivals and demand answers. However, Keys and OTM refused to appear in person, instead showing up live on the arena’s video screen from the parking lot outside Legacy Arena. Keys then ordered OTM to target The Bloodline’s vehicle, and the situation quickly turned sinister as the car was doused in gasoline. Keys struck the match and set the vehicle ablaze, with two massive explosions bringing the show to a dramatic close. As the flames engulfed the vehicle, Keys delivered a chilling warning that nobody was safe, making it clear that the rivalry had moved beyond the confines of the ring.
