Reacher Renewed for Season 6 by Prime Video, Alan Ritchson Set to Return
The Reacher franchise isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Prime Video has officially renewed its hit action-thriller series for a sixth season, bringing Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher back for another chapter of the popular adaptation of Lee Child’s novels.

The announcement arrives while Season 5 is still in production, meaning Prime Video has already committed to continuing the series beyond the upcoming season.
Reacher Season 6 Is Officially Happening
Prime Video confirmed the Season 6 renewal on September 28, extending the series’ run beyond its upcoming fifth season. The announcement comes from Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios, which produce the adaptation.
Alan Ritchson will continue leading the series as Jack Reacher. The show premiered in 2022 and has since become one of Prime Video’s major action franchises.
For fans, the renewal also means Reacher’s story will continue even before Season 5 has reached audiences.
Season 5 Is Currently in Production
While Season 6 has been confirmed, the immediate focus remains on Reacher Season 5.
Production on the fifth season is currently underway in Toronto. The season is based on Lee Child’s 20th Jack Reacher novel, Make Me.
The upcoming story follows Reacher after his train stops in the mysterious town of Mother’s Rest, where he becomes involved in a missing-person investigation that eventually uncovers a much larger criminal conspiracy.
The Season 5 cast includes Amanda Ip, Jay Baruchel, Ciara Bravo and Kevin Durand, alongside Ritchson.
Why Prime Video Renewed Reacher So Early
The Season 6 announcement follows a strong performance from the fourth season.
According to Prime Video and Paramount, Season 4 reached 66 million viewers globally during its first 28 days, surpassing Season 3’s performance. Prime Video says the fourth season ranks among the five most-viewed seasons of any original series on the service.
The franchise has also accumulated more than 200 million viewers worldwide since its 2022 debut, according to Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount.
That momentum has now secured another season of the Jack Reacher adaptation.
What Will Reacher Season 6 Be About?
That’s still being kept under wraps.
Prime Video has not announced which Lee Child novel will serve as the source material for Season 6, so specific story details should be treated as speculation for now.
The streamer also hasn’t announced a release date for the sixth season.
What is confirmed is that Alan Ritchson will return as Jack Reacher, with Nick Santora continuing as the show’s writer, showrunner and executive producer. Lee Child is also among the executive producers.
The Reacher Universe Continues to Expand
The renewal comes as Prime Video continues to build out the wider Reacher universe.
The franchise has already expanded with Neagley, a spin-off centered on Maria Sten’s character Frances Neagley. Meanwhile, the main series remains focused on Ritchson’s interpretation of Child’s wandering investigator.
With Season 5 in production and Season 6 now officially ordered, Jack Reacher’s journey on Prime Video is set to continue for several more chapters.
