GTA 6 Gets Two Vice City-Inspired Limited Edition PS5 Controllers
Sony is giving GTA 6 fans another reason to get excited ahead of the game’s launch, unveiling two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers inspired by the neon-soaked world of Vice City.

Revealed during the latest State of Play, the Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition controllers bring the visual identity of Rockstar Games’ upcoming blockbuster to PlayStation 5 hardware. Both designs are built around Vice City’s contrasting daytime and nighttime aesthetics, with shimmering finishes that shift between colors inspired by sunsets and neon lights.
Two Controllers, Two Sides of Vice City
The White Limited Edition takes inspiration from Vice City during the day, drawing from its beaches, pastel skies and laid-back coastal atmosphere. Meanwhile, the Black Limited Edition goes in the opposite direction, embracing the city’s nightlife and darker neon aesthetic.
Both controllers feature custom palm-tree detailing molded directly into the hardware, along with Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The color-shifting finish is arguably the standout feature, giving the controllers a distinctive look that changes depending on the lighting and viewing angle.
Rather than simply placing a GTA logo on a standard DualSense, Sony has clearly designed these editions around the identity of Vice City itself.
GTA 6’s DualSense Features Are Coming Along for the Ride
Underneath the new designs, these remain standard DualSense wireless controllers. However, players will still be able to experience the PS5-specific features that Rockstar is implementing for GTA 6.
Sony says haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will respond to the action throughout Jason and Lucia’s story, bringing different sensations from the game directly to the controller.
The limited editions therefore aren’t introducing new controller technology. Their appeal is primarily in the exclusive Vice City design and limited availability, making them particularly attractive to GTA collectors and PlayStation fans.
Price and Pre-Order Date
Both limited-edition controllers will be priced at $84.99 in the US, with regional pricing listed at ¥12,480, €84.99 and £74.99. Pre-orders officially open on September 10, 2026, while the controllers will launch on November 19, 2026 — the same day GTA 6 is scheduled to arrive on PS5.
In the United States, PlayStation Direct pre-orders begin at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET on September 10.
The Black Limited Edition will be sold exclusively through PlayStation Direct in regions where the service operates, while the White Limited Edition will also be offered through participating retailers.

A Perfect Match for GTA 6’s Vice City
GTA 6 is taking players back to Vice City, and Sony’s new controllers lean heavily into the location’s identity. The contrast between the white daytime model and the black nighttime version mirrors the game’s broader visual theme — bright coastal landscapes on one side and vibrant neon-filled streets on the other.
For collectors, the timing is also significant. With the controllers launching alongside GTA 6 and being produced in limited quantities, they could become one of the more sought-after pieces of official GTA 6 merchandise.
And at $84.99 each, Sony has kept them around the same price point as other recent limited-edition DualSense releases.
GTA 6 Fans Have a New Choice to Make
With pre-orders only days away, fans now have two distinctly different ways to bring Vice City into their gaming setup.
The White Edition is Vice City in the daylight. The Black Edition is Vice City after dark.
Both arrive on November 19, alongside Grand Theft Auto VI, giving PlayStation players the opportunity to enter Rockstar’s new world with a controller designed specifically around it.
