Marvel’s Wolverine PS5 Limited Edition Bundle Unveiled Ahead of September Launch

Sony is giving Marvel’s Wolverine fans another reason to get excited ahead of the game’s September launch.

A new Marvel’s Wolverine Limited Edition PS5 lineup has been unveiled, featuring a special Battle Yellow console, matching DualSense controller and themed accessories inspired by Insomniac Games’ upcoming Wolverine adventure. The hardware is designed around Wolverine’s iconic visual identity, combining yellow and black with claw-inspired details.

A PS5 Built for Wolverine Fans

The centerpiece of the collection is the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle.

The console uses a striking yellow-and-black design inspired by Wolverine’s Battle Reborn suit, while stylized claw marks across the panels give the system a more aggressive appearance. The bundle also includes a matching limited-edition DualSense controller and a digital download code for Marvel’s Wolverine.

Unlike a standard PS5 package, this edition is clearly aimed at collectors who want their console to reflect the game sitting underneath their TV.

The Controller May Be the Star

While the console itself is attention-grabbing, the matching DualSense could prove to be the most desirable item in the collection.

The controller combines Wolverine-inspired yellow detailing with black and metallic-looking elements, giving it a distinctly comic-book aesthetic. Sony is also offering the themed controller separately, allowing existing PS5 owners to add some Wolverine flair without purchasing another console.

Additional limited-edition console covers will also be available separately, including an Adamantium-inspired silver design alongside the Battle Yellow styling.

The Catch: It’s a Digital-Only PS5

There is one important detail prospective buyers should know.

The Wolverine limited-edition console is based on the PS5 Digital Edition, meaning it does not include a built-in disc drive. The bundle instead comes with a digital code for Marvel’s Wolverine.

For players who prefer physical games, Sony is separately offering disc-drive-compatible cover kits, although that means spending extra to add physical-media functionality.

Price and Pre-Order Details

The limited-edition Battle Yellow bundle is priced at $649.99 in the United States, with regional pricing announced for other markets. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on August 19 at 10 a.m. local time through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers.

The hardware will officially launch on September 15, 2026—the same day Marvel’s Wolverine arrives on PS5.

It Arrives With the Game

The timing of the limited edition is no coincidence.

Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on September 15. The game follows Logan on a globe-spanning journey involving locations such as Madripoor, Canada and Tokyo, with the story exploring a darker side of the character and his struggle to confront his past.

The new console therefore functions as both a collector’s item and a launch-day package for players who haven’t yet picked up a PS5.

A Collector’s Dream—or an Expensive Upgrade?

For dedicated Wolverine fans, the design could make the bundle one of the most attractive themed PS5 releases yet.

The Battle Yellow finish, claw-inspired markings and matching DualSense give the hardware a strong identity rather than simply placing a character image on an existing console. At the same time, the digital-only format and $649.99 price make it a more specialized purchase.

For existing PS5 owners, the separately sold controller and console covers may ultimately be the more practical way to bring Wolverine’s aesthetic into their setup.

Marvel’s Wolverine Release Date

Marvel’s Wolverine is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5. Sony has already made the game available for pre-order, with both Standard and Digital Deluxe editions offered.

With the game now approaching launch, Sony’s new Wolverine hardware gives fans another piece of the Insomniac experience to look forward to.

The claws aren’t just coming to PS5—they’re coming to the console itself.
